What makes recycled plastic outdoor rugs different
These rugs are woven from 100% recycled polypropylene, a plastic-straw yarn spun from repurposed materials. The flat, tight weave is what makes them so practical outside: it does not absorb water, it resists mould and UV, and both faces carry the pattern, so you can flip the rug to even out wear or change the look. They are light enough to lift and shake out, which suits balconies, caravan awnings, camping and picnics as much as a patio or deck.
To clean, hose the rug down, scrub any marks with mild soapy water, then hang or lay flat to dry. Avoid harsh solvents, which dull the fibres. This is a flatweave rather than a plush pile, so it feels firm underfoot, not soft. For sizing, follow the same rule as any outdoor rug and leave about 20 to 30cm of deck or paving showing around the edge.
